This is the 3rd and final painting of this scene of Fort Langley. It is a painting of a very memorable night for me when I had my oldest grand daughter hung out with me painting, eating at the Beatnik's Bistro in Fort Langley, going back to my place on the river to paint some more, going for gelato and having a sleepover. Isabelle just turned 10 years old and I gave her my 2nd painting of this scene. I sold the first one a couple years ago, I gave Isabelle the 2nd one for her birthday as she really wanted it and this is now my final and largest version of this Fort Langley street scene taken outside of the Beatnik's Bistro. I just love rainy nights with lots of street lights and reflections. A very special night for me and my grand daughter.

I so love this highway to the beautiful town of La Conner in Washington, USA..........can't wait to go back. The colours of the fields and the sky were fantastic. I took several photos that day, painted a small 6" X 6" panel which a good friend of mine purchased. This one is a slightly different view of the same landscape painted on a much larger canvas.
24" X 24" Oil on canvas, unframed (edges painted) $600 Another painting sold from my website to a wonderful lady in San Diego. She said this one put a big smile on her face which is what I love to hear about my paintings.
Oil on canvas, unframed (edges painted) 18" X 24" SOLD My husband and I were recently blessed with a trip to Gambier Island with good friends. On our way back we had dinner on Bowen Island. I was thrilled to see that this boat is still moored at the Bowen Island marina. Our good friend on Gordon's Beach (neighours of our cottage in Sooke......the Beach Box) purchased this painting for his wife's birthday. It now now graces the walls of their beautiful beach front home on Juan de Fuca Strait.
For several years I love to watch the commercial crab boats come in front of my beach cottage (The Beach Box) located in Sooke on the Juan de Fuca Strait...........known for stormy weather and great fishing. I so love this beach, the neighbours, the sea gulls (or as my grand daughter calls them....."beach chickens". ) This is such a very special place. One of our beach neighbours commissioned me to paint another crab boat as a surprise for her husband. Unbeknownst to the wife.........her husband in the meantime called from their winter home in Fresno, Californina and wanted to purchase a crab boat for his wife as a surprise but he mistakenly called it the Bowen Island Fishing Boat. As it turns out they both loved each of my boat paintings and both are proudly displayed in their beautiful home on Gordon's Beach. Love these beach neighbours.
Recently completed a commission painting for a couple with a beautiful home in White Rock overlooking the water. Because their view was amazing they did not want a painting of a typical water scene............instead a White Rock street scene of Marine Drive. Simplistic and loose was their request. They had purchased one of my past White Rock back alley paintings, had me do a commission of the cabin which once stood on the grounds where they built their new home. This painting will be gracing the walls of their family room.
