Lianna Klassen I experiment regularly with color and texture. Light interacting with dark, and color against color are what inspire me to create. Although I use a vast array of colors, shades and textures, my work always includes squares, even if they are not at first visible to the observer. I see them as a way of standing out, and of adding the comfort of structure to a seemingly chaotic painting.
I take great pleasure in painting reality in a way that makes it obscure, so as to surprise the observer when they find out what the true inspiration is behind the painting. That “A-ha!” moment fills me with a sense of accomplishment because it encourages the observer to see the object/theme of my art in a brand new way.

I use people and places as the inspiration behind many of my paintings. I love to interpret a personality through a painting because I feel it helps me to get to know the person better while bringing joy to his or her life. I also love to paint a place, whether a country or a city, as a way of processing my time there. My art is a way of putting my emotions, feelings, experiences, and memories on canvas. It serves as a cathartic and therapeutic process that will hopefully translate into touching the lives of people who come into contact with it.

Born in British Columbia, Patricia A.Skorah/ Burnett has been an artist since childhood. Studying classical piano with Donna Fishwick, and coached by renowned teachers and performers such as Dr. Robin Wood at Craighdarroch Castle in Victoria, and Barbara Custance and Phyllis Shuldt in Vancouver, she earned her Toronto Royal Conservatory A.R.C.T degree at an early age. In the years to follow, she went on to express her artistic abilities through her music as a professional singer and keyboard player with popular rock bands LOWER MAINLAND, TRIX, PANIC, and JUNCTION. Patricia also performed as a professional lounge piano player and singer at the Devonshire Hotel in Vancouver headlining in the Carriage Room,Delaneys, and the Airport Inn.

In 2005, Patricia's artistic flair took a new direction. Seeing the beauty in many "retro" pieces of jewelry she had collected over the years, Patricia turned her talent to re-inventing them into "One of a Kind" pieces of Body Art Jewelry. These unusual designs have quickly become popular, and today, Patricia's unique jewelry is sought after.

Patricia combines Antique and Retro pieces, with Swarovski crystals, chains, beads and stones, turning them into fabulous and "Funky", new creations!Over the years, Patricia has collected piano keys, strings, parts of the action of the piano, and created a whole "NEW" line,Piano Key Jewelry!!! These one of a kind pieces are simply amazing, and some are currently being shown in Artisan shops throughout the Lower Mainland!!!

Each piece is lovingly designed in a way that respects its history!!!

Susan Galick is a Canadian artist who has embraced art and creativity since childhood.  Her works are influenced by her passion of the outdoors and her wonderful memories of living and traveling around beautiful British Columbia:  Quesnel Lake in the Cariboo region, fishing the salt chuck with her father, touring the Gulf islands with her parents, living in White Rock, Gavin Lake, Likely, Sooke, and historic Fort Langley.

Susan is a member of the Fort Langley Artist Group and has studied both painting and portraiture with established artists such as Mike Svob, Carol Marine, Carmel Clare, Perry Haddock, Robert Barret, Murray Philips and Gaye Adams.  She is also an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Opening her own studio/gallery in the Flatiron Building of Bedford Landing in Fort Langley is a dream come true for Susan.  She opens her studio-gallery to the public three weeks of every month.  The fourth week, the artist spends at her Beach Box Studio in Sooke, on Vancouver Island.
